Caledonia Golf & Fish Club
Caledonia Golf and Fish Club
Caledonia golf and Fish Club is located off Highway 17 in Pawley's Island. This course is one of the best designed in Myrtle Beach, winning numerous awards. It's setting on an old rice plantation, with Century Pines, Massive Moss Laden Oaks and River Marsh Views, makes Caledonia a very special place.
Do not let this course's short yardage fool you. Caledonia is a Par 70 with several very short holes. Do not leave your driver at home. This course is as difficult as it is pretty.
Built upon the site of a working southern rice plantation, Caledonia has been recognized for its design and incredible beauty. Upon opening in 1995 Caledonia was ranked 5th Best New Public Course in America by Golf Digest and was recently ranked 30th in the "Top 100 You Can Play" by Golf Magazine 2000. And, Caledonia was recently named "Top 100 America's Greatest Public Courses" by Golf Digest 2005-2006.
From the entrance, lined with centuries old live oaks to its antebellum-styled clubhouse, Caledonia is a world-class experience. Caledonia Golf and Fish Club is a must play. The greens are Tifdrawf Bermuda Grass.
