Myrtle Beach National Golf Club

Myrtle Beach National Golf Club is a 54 hole complex located offf highway 501 between Myrtle Beach and Cconway.  The three courses are Arnold Palmer desings.  South Creek winds through   wetlands, waste areas and hardwood forests. It is the favorite of the members requiring finesse rather than distance.  The West Course features numerours doglegs, fairway bunkers and natural hazards that come into play.  King's North is a palmer signature course and is one of his best. Be sure to play this one.  MBN’s King’s North, Arnold Palmer’s sensational King’s North Course has been crowned “South Carolina’s Course of the Year for 1996”, “Top 10 New Upscale Public Course in America” by Golf Digest for 1997, and “Top 100 in America” by Golf for Women in 2002 for three years running. The famous island green possesses and inspiring new look with an elevated sculptured bulk-head. Forty-two bunkers line the 464-yard, par-4 18th fairway. But the most memorable hole may be the 6th, "The Gambler," a par-5 reachable in two with a courageous tee shot, 220 yards over water to an island fairway.  MBN’s SouthCreek, Southcreek is a Palmer design, and the favorite among its members. Finesse is required by every golfer with its guarded bentgrass greens and numerous waste areas, as it winds through wetlands and hardwood forests. A distinctly different design than Myrtle Beach National's other two courses, South creek provides its own unique round of golf. This spectacular blend of natural and man-made challenges, was recently voted "Top 100 in America" by Golf For Women Magazine in 2002
MBN’s West Course, from the regular tees, golfers of all abilities will enjoy the classic Arnold Palmer design. But be prepared for a professional challenge from the back tees as the numerous doglegs, fairway bunkers and natural hazards come into play. Winding through a forest of stately pines in an undeveloped setting, the West Course offers golfers the feel of a private club.
The greens on the King's North are Crenshaw bent grass, the southcreek are Penncross bent grass and the West course are Cato bent grass.  Rating: South Creek 70.5  West Course 73.0 King's North 72.6   Slope:  South Creek 123 West Course 119 King's North 136
